Unused Medications Now Being Collected at Ambridge Borough Building

Through a partnership between the Ambridge Police Department and the Beaver County District Attorney, there is now a Prescription Drug Take Back Box in the lobby of the Ambridge Borough Building at 600 11th Street.

According to Chief of Police, James Mann, the box gives you a safe route to dispose of unused medications.  This effort helps keep drugs out of the hands of our youth and also protects the environment through the safe disposal of the medications.

Medications accepted at the box:  Prescriptions, Prescription Patches, Prescription Medications, Prescription Ointments, Over-the-counter medications, Vitamins, Samples and Medications for pets.

Items not accepted include:  Hydrogen Peroxide, inhalers, aerosol cans, ointments, medication from businesses or clinics, needles and thermometers.
