Real Estate Transfers within the Borough of Ambridge

The Ambridge Borough Building is OPEN to the public.  However, you  are currently required to wear a mask covering your mouth and nose. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. 

There are a few items you need to supply the Borough, Water Authority, Municipal Authority & Tax Office to obtain a  “No Lien” letter OR Certification.  Each Department needs a  Formal request on letterhead or your Company form AND a separate envelope for each returned lien/no lien you want returned to you.  (Copy of our current Zoning Map link at the bottom of this page)

Please address your separate request on the outside of each of the 4 Departments envelope to:

(This “No Lien Letter”  may take up to 3 weeks, we check with the Fire Department, the Code Enforcement and the Building Inspector. Once completed – lien letters are valid for 30 days.   Please plan your closing accordingly.)

**NOTE:  If this property is a commercial or rental units, please make sure the buyer(s) know they MUST register it with the Borough Code Enforcement within 30 days of purchase. 

 *An Ordinance (No.1297) has been passed by Ambridge Borough Council at the May 2018 Council meeting that requires all Real Estate Transfers of all Structures (Commercial and Residential) establishing procedures for obtaining Fire & Safety Certificates. Fee Schedule, Application for Inspection, and Typical Inspection Items are listed at the bottom of this page.  All Real Estate Transfers and Closings after July 1, 2018 will be required to have this Fire & Safety Certificate. *
